Built in 1865, this detached cottage has three bedrooms (sleeps six or seven people). The cottage has been listed due to its unusual architectural features. The cottage is tastefully decorated and furnished throughout.
Ground Floor
Kitchen with wooden floor, beamed ceiling, Belfast sink, oil Aga cooker (clothes pulley above), Smeg fridge, dishwasher, microwave, and large pine table. Utility room with Belfast sink, washing machine, and freezer. Downstairs toilet. Sitting room (30'x18') with pine flooring, beamed ceiling, woodburning stove, open fire, TV/DVD/HI-FI, and french windows to garden.
First Floor
Wooden staircase leading to upper landing. Bedroom one has a king-size iron bedstead and an ornamental fireplace. Bedroom two has a Victorian iron & brass double bed. Bedroom three has a Victorian brass double bed and one single bed. Upstairs Bathroom has a large antique cast iron bath, toilet, whb, and separate shower cubicle with mains shower.
Garden
Half acre cottage garden with borders, vegetable plot, and herbs. Guests may also use the five acre field behind the garden which is grass with a mown path around it.
